At Wamue Social Enterprise Farm, we farm not just for profit—but for purpose. Our work is deeply rooted in the community, and everything we do is designed to uplift, empower, and create sustainable livelihoods, especially for women and youth in Kitui County.
Women are the backbone of our farm. From land preparation to harvesting, over 90% of our workforce is made up of local women, many of whom are the primary breadwinners in their households.
Through dignified employment, they gain stable income, agricultural skills, and new opportunities to support their families.
We invest in the future by investing in education. In partnership with local schools, Wamue Farm:
Provides scholarships for disciplined but needy students
Supports vocational training for youth entering agri-enterprise
Encourages STEM and environmental education in local classrooms
From farm to classroom, we’re helping the next generation of change-makers grow.
Solar-Powered Water Kiosks at Tanganyika & Kwa Vonza
In areas where families trek long distances for water, we installed solar-powered water ATMs at two key trading centres. These community water kiosks:
Provide affordable clean drinking water
Reduce time and labor burden for women and children
Improve safety for girls who are often vulnerable while fetching water
Water access = better health, more time for school and work, and safer communities.
Join us in growing not just food—but futures. Your support helps us scale these community-driven solutions.
